"PROMOTION OF HISTORICAL MULTICULTURAL HERITAGE"

The project "Promotion of historical multicultural heritage" - was supported by Provincial Secretariat for Education, Administration and National Communities. This project involved students from four high schools of Zrenjanin: Zrenjanin Gymnasium, Electro technical high school "Nikola Tesla", Food Chemistry and Textile high School "Uros Predic" and Central agricultural high school, with a total of 27 students.
The project lasted for three months, with a total of six seminars, where the instructors were history professors Radovan Francuski, Predrag Pavlov and Philip Krcmar.
The last seminar was held on 16th of December 2011 in the official hall of the Cultural Center in Zrenjanin with the topic of "Examples of multicultural inter-ethnic tolerance among young people in Banat". At this event the lecturer was Vladimir Djuric from Cultural Centre Zrenjanin.
Within the project we planned writing essays, and the best one written were read and presented at the same event.
On the same day we organized a press conference, which was covered by regional newspaper Zrenjanin and regional radio station Zrenjanin.

On Friday, December 2th 2011, in the Secondary School of Electrical and Civil Engineering Nikola Tesla, the fourth lecture was held within the project "Promotion of Historical Multicultural Heritage" on the topic "Review of Serbian Vojvodina and Tamiš Banat -The uprising of the Serbs against the Turks in Banat ". The lecture was held by a history teacher Pedja Pavlov, to high school students from Zrenjaninska Gimnazija (Zrenjanin High School of General Education), Secondary School for Chemical and Food Processing Technology Uroš Predic , Secondary School of Agriculture and Secondary School of Electrical and Civil Engineering Nikola Tesla.

On Friday, November 4th 2011, the third lecture within the project "Promotion of Historical Multicultural Heritage" was held in the Secondary School of Electrical and Civil Engineering Nikola Tesla. The topic was " Local Native History of Great Beckerek and Inter-ethnical Tolerance in the Region of Banat," keynote speaker was the project coordinator, Nichola Šlajh, and the lecturer was Filip Krcmar. The lecture was attended by high school students from: Zrenjaninska Gimnazija (Zrenjanin High School of General Education), Secondary School for chemical and food processing technology Uroš Predic , Secondary School of Agriculture and Secondary school of electrical and civil engineering Nikola Tesla.

The lecture with the title "Great (Veliki) Bechkerek, Petrovgrad, Zrenjanin: Shurneys' nations and tolerance" was held on Friday 21 October 2011 at "Nikola Tesla" high school in Zrenjanin and the lecturer was Filip Krcmar. The main concept was that the students learn more and have a better look at the history of their city (which used to have all of the three names mentioned in the title; Great Bechkerek, Petrovgrad, and at the present it is called Zrenjanin). The duration of the lecture was an hour and a half and it presented interesting facts regarding the past of their city.

First lecture regarding the project "PROMOTION OF HISTORICAL MULTICULTURAL HERITAGE OF BANAT" was held on 7 October 2011 at "Zrenjaninska Gimnazija" high school in Zrenjanin. The topic was " Basis of multiculturalism in Banat " and the lecturer was history teacher Radovan Francuski.The lecture was organised by European Movement in Banat with the support of Regional Department of Education,APV,high schools in Zrenjanin,and coordinated by the president of EpuB Mr Nikola Slajh. The lecture was attended by the students of the following high schools : "Zrenjaninska Gimnazija","Uros Predic","Poljoprivredna","Nikola Tesla".

The project "Promotion of the historic multy-cultural heritage" is co-financed by the Provincial Secretariat for Education, Administration and National community, at the competition for the preservation and fostering inter-ethnic tolerance in Vojvodina. The project also includes the Youth Office from Zrenjanin and the participants in the project are high school students from Zrenjanin. The project envisages six areas dealing with multicultural heritage and of Banat and Zrenjanin.

European Movement in Banat joins campaign to provide free legal assistance to civil society organizations in need. The "Pro bono network" trough the European Movement in the Banat, included three offices from Zrenjanin, Judith Popovic; Milivoje Izgarjan and Ivan Suboticki.

"Comunication zone"

European movement in Banat has succesfully finished another year of english language courses within project "Communication zone" within this school year english language course in this year, after 6 succesfully years for all levels of cnowledge.




"Ring for Europe"

European movement in Banat has saccesfully finished 2nd ciklus of the project "Ring for Europe" financed by Ministry of sport and youth and IOM. Within the project we had 20 highschool students from Zrenjanin who gained basic knowledge about EU and EU institutions. After these seminars they had organized public class for their jounger colegues who were also introduced with history and institutions of EU. At the end of the project press conference was organized at the Youth office of city of Zrenjanin.




"Our organization had realized two workshops/seminars for high school students about Europe"

At 17th May 2011 was held the first one and on 21st of May 2011. the second workshop of the project within mini grant scheme by IOM, where participants were high school students from Zrenjanin and lecturers were Dragana Dorozan, Ana Vujinov and Dragana Gulic. At the workshops, trough discussions, t hey learned about EU and relationship between EU and Serbia. Also, they gathered knowledge about functioning of government and international organizations.

European Movement in Banat is one of the winners of a mini grant for the project of educating young people about Europe. Allocation held on 29 April 2011. at the Palace of Serbia.

Just like every year, this year as well , the DAY of EUROPE was celebrated by European Movement in Banat. Our guest was NJ.E. the ambassador of the Republic of Austria Armando Varikio, and the first secretary of the ambassy Paolo Tosi.

"Annual Assembly"

26.01.2011 in the premises of European Movement in Zrenjanin, a yearly assembly meeting was held. There were some changes regarding the name of the organization made, which will, after the process of registration be called European Movement in Banat. Regardin the registration process, a new statute was adopted, by which the name European Movement in Serbia, local Council Zrenjanin was changed in European Movement in Banat. For the President of the organization, this time also, was elected M.A. Nikola Slajh. He is also the president of executive board, and other members are Phd. Robert Molnar and M.Sc. Ana Vujinov. After the meeting there was a cocktail organized for all members and supporters of the Movement.

By the end of the seminat "It rings for Europe", the participants were given certificates in the premices of the European movement, and after that, there was a coctail party.
